This Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of three unique parcels from the Walker Bay wards of Sondagskloof, Stanford Foothills, and Klein River Lagoon. It was fermented naturally in 500L old French oak barrels and aged for 10 months on its lees before bottling.
A reflection of the winemaker's return home to the cool-climate vineyards of the Cape South Coast, this wine captures the wildness and unique character of the region.
The nose offers subtle notes of lime, white peach, and blackcurrant. The palate is lean yet flavorful, with great fruit clarity, a good line of acidity, and a long, dry finish. This certified low-sulfur wine is described by Tim Atkin as a "particularly elegant, well-balanced offering" and was rated 93/100.
